Member Care

There are times and seasons of life when you’re hurting or just need help -- a death in the family, bad news from the doctor, family conflict, a special prayer request. Sometimes you need a shoulder to cry on, a hand to hold, or a friend to pray with. There are also joy-filled seasons of life when people naturally look to the support of their church family.

Let us help.

We have several ministries that reach out in care to our members and friends when you need it most.

Baptism
Nativity is excited to celebrate you child’s baptism. 1:10, Into Baptism, is our baptismal preparation group, taken from Mark 1:10, about the baptism of Jesus Christ. 1:10 is for the parents and godparents of our newest members of Christ’s Church.

Marriage
Congratulations on your engagement! You are in one of the most exciting (and hectic) seasons of your life. Beyond the wedding day there is married life. Let us help you get ready. "2:24" is our marriage preparation program where you can join together with other engaged couples to take a closer look at married life: communication, intimacy, children, finances, and faith.

Support and Prayer
Sometimes life can be difficult, challenging, and even overwhelming. Sometimes it can be hard to even find someone to talk to. If you need someone to talk to and pray with, our God Trust Ministers are here to help. God Trust Ministers are usually available after most weekend Masses. Just come up to the Altar at the end of the service and look for the people wearing the white ribbons. They’re here to listen and offer prayerful support.

Prayer Requests
A group of Intercessors are dedicated to praying for the needs of the Church. If you would like to submit a prayer request, please complete the following form.

Financial Peace
Personal finances are an area where many people run into trouble, causing stress and anxiety, family turmoil and worse. We believe that financial peace is achievable if we approach finances as God has taught us. That’s why each fall we offer a 13-week Financial Peace Workshop. Sign up annually in September and October.

Hospital Visits
A stay in the hospital can be a frightening and lonely ordeal. We would like to support and encourage you during that difficult time. Our Pastoral Visitors are ready to visit with you or your loved one, pray together and, if you choose, share Communion. Our Pastoral Visitors can also arrange for an Anointing of the Sick.

Pastoral Visits
When a member of our Church family is no longer able to join us for weekend services, we can bring the Church to them. Our Pastoral Visitors are available to visit homebound parishioners, as well as those who have transitioned to assisted living or hospice care in the North Baltimore area. Pastoral Visitors bring comfort and encouragement, Christian fellowship and prayerful support. If you choose, they can also share Communion.

Anointing of the Sick
The Sacrament of the Anointing of the Sick is offered anytime someone needs special support and strength when facing a health challenge. If you would like to be anointed, please contact us and we will try to accommodate your request as soon as possible.

Confession
All of us have sinned and fallen short. Jesus forgives us. When we confess our sins out loud, to another person, we can begin to break free from the guilt, shame, and secrecy that binds us. Confession allows us to restore our relationship with God and receive his power to start again.

Every Saturday, 11:00 AM – noon
Ash Wednesday, 6:30 – 8:30 PM
Wednesdays during Lent, 7:00 – 8:30 PM
Good Friday, 9:00 AM – 9:00 PM

Funerals
The death of a loved one is the most difficult seasons of life. The prayerful support and assistance of your Church family can be indispensable and our Bereavement Ministry is here to help. Bereavement Ministers can walk you through the planning of a traditional Funeral Mass, a simpler style prayer service, a graveside committal, or any kind of remembrance you choose.

Leave a message for the Bereavement Ministers at 410-252-6080 ext 150. They will return your call promptly.
